In case you wanted to spruce up your next Stardew Valley playthrough, this new DLC-sized mod should be just what you’re looking for.

Stardew Valley mods go as far back as the game itself, giving you a lot of room to tweak the experience to your liking, adding new NPCs, changing game logic, and even breaking the game sometimes.

The modding community is one reason why Stardew Valley remains as popular as it is, even ten years later. There are very few limits to the types of content that can be added or changed.

One popular type of mod for Stardew Valley are the ones that add new characters and locations, expanding the world of Pelican Town rather dramatically beyond ConcernedApe’s initial scope.

Pine Village Expansion is one such mod, adding a bunch of new content to explore that sits alongside Stardew Valley’s base content.

The mod features seven new NPCs, with two of them being romanceable, and ten new locations within the village.

Stardew Valley's New Pine Village Expansion Adds A Load Of Fresh New Content For You

To play the new Pine Village and access the town, you need to head to the bus stop in Pelican Town and find the ticket machine next to the bus. Interacting with it will allow you the option to travel to Pine Village.

According to Pine Village’s developer Kitycatinbox, the mod should be compatible with any other mod for Stardew Valley. Considering it only really adds new content rather than making any big changes, there should be no issues with adding it to your current playthrough.

You should always make a backup just in case though, as there’s no guarantee that there won’t be anything funky going on as a result of installing the mod.

Altogether, these mods are always fun to check out once you’ve exhausted all of the base game content. Stardew Valley is absolutely massive, but there are still aspects of it that players prefer to build on.

In related news, Stardew Valley 2 has been teased by its creator, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone. Speaking to IGN earlier this month, the developer said he “would love to” make a sequel, because “it would just be fun to work on a whole new set of characters, a whole new world, maybe capture some of that original energy that I had back in 2012, when I started working with Stardew Valley.”
