Stardew Valley: The Arcanian Exchange is a Huge Free Fan DLC

There is no denying that Stardew Valley is regarded as one of the best video games of all time but with the farming simulation title soon celebrating its 10-year anniversary, fans are eager for new and exciting content.

First released back in 2016, Stardew Valley has been nothing short of a success story for solo developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone.

Tasking players with building a farm from the ground up, whilst also getting to know and romance the locals, fish, mine and dig for useful items and resources, and overall immerse themselves in village life, Stardew Valley boasts a large and dedicated fanbase to this day.

Thanks to regular updates over the years, Stardew Valley remains just as popular but it is its modding community which also contributed to the game’s success.

One example is FellowClown who has recently shared an exciting new mod for Stardew Valley over on Nexus Mods.

The Arcanian Exchange is a free mod which aims to “liven up your playing experience with animals, foods, recipes and more.”

Based around an exchange programme, The Arcanian Exchange will see players access new animals, recipes and food, artisan skills, crafting recipes, and even a whole new world of flora thanks to Arcanian specific crops.

The arrival of new animals is excellent news but with some of them capable of biting, you will have to use all of your farming know-how to raise them.

To unlock the new species of animals, you will have to reach farming level six which will prompt Marnie to send you a letter in the mail inviting you to the programme.

On the other hand, new crops can be accessed with level four farming whilst everything else remains unlockable through the hotline.

The Arcanian Exchange aims to breathe new life into Stardew Valley by giving your farmer the chance to try out a whole new culture.

Whether that is trying their cultural dishes, raising their animals or crafting the furniture that decorates their home, you are in for a treat… and a whole lot more to get busy with.

As mentioned, The Arcanian Exchange is free to download for all of those who own Stardew Valley on PC and is just one of thousands of mods available for the beloved farming simulation title.

Despite being uploaded to Nexus Mods earlier this week, The Arcanian Exchange has already garnered almost 800 unique downloads so it is pretty clear that this is what your fellow fans have been asking for.
