An ex-Stardew Valley developer is working on their own game, and it looks absolutely adorable.

Stardew Valley has inspired countless game developers to create their own indie titles, and is it much of a surprise?

If you’re in the mood for some more Fallout after watching the TV series then check out which games you need to play below!

The game is still as popular now as it was when it first released, and still receives the occasional update like the one that dropped earlier this month.

It seems like there’s still more to come though in the meantime, check out Sunkissed City, a game currently in development with a developer who used to work on Stardew Valley.

The game’s creator, Arthur 'Mr. Podunkian' Lee, regularly provides updates on Twitter regarding the game’s development, and the most recent one is giving serious Zelda vibes.

Podunkian’s tweet said they’ve been “playing around with power lines and Windwaker style wind whirlies,” accompanied by footage of the player's character taking a stroll through the city.

Now we’ve got to say, if you’re going to take inspiration from any game, The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker is a pretty good shout.

It looks like it paid off too as the gameplay looks fantastic, giving off major Stardew Valley vibes but swapping out farm life for the big city instead.

Unfortunately, fans still have a pretty long wait ahead of them before they can try Sunkissed City for themselves, as the game doesn’t have an official release date at the time of writing.

The game’s Steam page indicates it’s expected to drop sometime in Q4 of 2024 though, so with any luck it’ll be with us by the end of the year.

Stardew Valley fans are going to have a field day with this game, in fact it could give the farm simulator some friendly competition.
