It appears that Star Wars has just revealed the titles for a brand-new trilogy in development.

Star Wars is such an expansive universe, and there’s always something new and fresh in development.

Even after five films, seven live-action TV series, and countless books and comics, Disney’s Star Wars productions are not slowing down.

A new trilogy of books has also proven to be popular with fans after the release of the first novel earlier this year.

Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear is part one of a trilogy of novels set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope that focuses on characters like Bail Organa, Saw Gerrera and Mon Mothma.

We now have titles and release windows for the next two books in the trilogy, and it seems you won’t have to wait too long for them.

Edge of the Abyss, the second Reign of the Empire novel, is slated for release in Fall 2026, while the third book, From the Ashes, is scheduled for a Summer 2027 release.

Released earlier this year, The Mask of Fear was received positively by critics, with specific praise for it being about ordinary people living under a totalitarian regime, rather than focusing on the more magical side of the universe such as the Jedi and the Force.

It’s become a beloved novel in the same way Andor became such a huge hit: it’s a political thriller that tells a story that feels so much more real than other recent Star Wars releases.

It seems that both of its sequels are being written back-to-back, given the short interim between both releases.

That’s good news for Star Wars fans, particularly those who loved the first book as well as the Andor TV series, because there’ll be less of a wait between the second and third novels.
