Star Wars fans think they have discovered who the last surviving member of the Jedi Council was and, well… in the great words of Sheev Palpatine, it could be considered somewhat “ironic”.
If you’ve only seen the Star Wars prequel films, you probably only know the Jedi High Council for one thing: being absolutely bloody useless.
Still, it’s implied that they did get some useful stuff done in their early days, and we do encounter them during their lowest point in the prequel trilogy.
Didn’t stop 90% of them from getting murdered during the events of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith though.

So, who could possibly be the last remaining member of the group to have died? Some of you will likely assume it was Yoda, which arguably could be true.
However, one user over on the r/StarWars subreddit has a different take on it, because technically, Anakin was granted a seat on the Jedi Council, and Darth Vader did die after Yoda.
Now the debate here stems from whether or not you believe Anakin truly “died” when he became Darth Vader, because he does state as much himself.
He does, however, revert back to Anakin as a force ghost after he dies, implying that he was very much Anakin during his final moments, so… I kinda think that does mean Anakin was the final member of the Jedi Council.

A different user in the comments did throw a wrench in the works, though.
“We technically still don’t know the fates of Oppo Rancisis or Coleman Kcaj”, commented user TheBloop1997.
“One of them could have survived longer than Anakin, especially if one of them is the Jedi that the writer of the ongoing Legacy of Vader comics (set between TLJ and RoS) said will appear in the comics.”
Yeah, so, I just did some light research into these two dorks, and I can confirm that the fates of both Oppo Rancisis and Coleman Kcaj are currently undetermined.

However, if they do get murdered in a future comic, then I think that means that the Anakin theory is indeed true.
