Star Wars fans are losing their minds over a potential Darth Vader appearance in a popular free-to-play shooter.

Few would argue that Darth Vader of the Star Wars franchise isn't one of the most iconic villains in cinematic history and one of the most badass. However, this epic samurai design might be the best look yet for the man formerly known as Anakin Skywalker.

When Fortnite: Save the World was originally released in 2017 as an early access title, I don't think many would have predicted the absolute goliath it would become. Now simply known as Fortnite, the free-to-play shooter is one of the most popular video games of all time, blowing most of its competition out of the water.

Other than having fun gameplay and modes, one of the most popular features of Fortnite is its surprising character skins that have ranged from Snoop Dogg, the Master Chief, Batman Ninja, Lionel Messi and more.

Not for the first time, Darth Vader is coming to Fortnite according to a rumour but this time, he’s going to be a samurai warrior and fans are losing it.

An image of a samurai Darth Vader has been shared on the Twitter account HYPEX (via Wensoing), but it’s believed that it's not the one that will be in Fortnite but it’s an exciting prospect nonetheless.

“The second this drops I want you to be already calling my phone, send me an email, carrier pigeon, call the cartel, I need this,” replied Aido.

“OH MY GOD” harvv shouted from the rooftops.

Yin_NGMI shared the Futurama “take my money” gif reflecting the excitement of many Fortnite fans on the thread.

The Darth Vader samurai skin does not have a release date at the time of writing but hopefully, we’re not waiting too long.

Fortnite is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch as well as compatible mobile devices.
