Resident Evil Requiem fans have solved the ‘Final Puzzle’ mystery, and to say that it has an underwhelming twist would be an understatement.
Last week, Resident Evil Requiem finally launched, and it’s been embraced by critics and fans alike across the world. Judging by much of social media, it’s also garnered a new legion of fans for the Capcom series.
However, while Resident Evil Requiem can absolutely be enjoyed by brand new fans to the series, ignoring three of Capcom’s remakes from 2019 and onwards would be doing your experience a disservice, in my opinion.
Resident Evil Requiem Gets My First 10/10!
“As a horror game in its own right, Resident Evil Requiem is a very solid nine out of ten, but as a passionate fan of the series, it earns an additional bonus point thanks to the attention to detail and craft that’s gone into every pore of this game,” I said in my review.
One of the best elements throughout the history of Resident Evil is its replayability. Whether it's unlockable weapons, infinite ammo, new outfits and much more. The series is never short of encouraging players to keep returning, and Resident Evil Requiem is no exception.

In Resident Evil Requiem, much like recent instalments, you can earn CP (Completion Points) for completing in-game objectives, which can then, in turn, be spent on new unlockable items.
Resident Evil Requiem's ‘Final Puzzle’ Has Been Solved
One of those challenges is called ‘The Final Puzzle, ’ which will earn you a hefty 20,000 CP. As we reported yesterday, this unsolved puzzle has left Resident Evil Requiem fans baffled.
Well, it was unsolved. Now - The Final Puzzle has been solved! However, its reward and the manner in which it was “solved” are very underwhelming and the latter of which, especially, is quite disappointing.
As brought to our attention by Redditor BigRedtheBard, a few streamers have “solved” the puzzle, but rather than following all the in-game clues, they did so by reportedly datamining the information.
Which is disappointing, as it arguably ruined the joy of uncovering its secrets the way Capcom had intended.
If there is one bright side to this puzzle being solved via data mining, at least we now know the steps, so we can complete the tasks and earn the 20,000 CP the right way. So, I thank the streamers for that.
What Is the Final Puzzle Reward?
Judging by all the social media comments, it seems like your only reward is a message to say that you’ve solved the puzzle and the 20,000 CP.
There’s no additional weapon, skins or anything. But I suppose the 20,000 CP can get you plenty of unlockable goodies nonetheless, so it’s still a big win and most certainly worth completing.
Resident Evil Requiem is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
