New Resident Evil Gameplay Has Lewd Gamers Thirsting Over Leon's New Look

Enter the survival gooner

Resident Evil Requiem is giving us an older, even more rugged Leon Kennedy and we’re all being completely normal about it I swear.

I’d describe the Resident Evil series as a bisexual nightmare. No one is safe from the thirst and with Leon looking the way he does in Resident Evil Requiem you best believe there's an avalanche of fan-edits made of him when the game drops.

I was kicking my feet and blushing throughout all of Leon’s segments in my preview so it’s nice to feel validated seeing a similar reaction to his redesign from fans.

The hot topic at the moment is the sheer size of the lad.

Since we last saw him in Resident Evil 6 Leon has seemingly been hitting the gym harder than ever. He’s about twice the size but still as athletic as ever.

Reddit user and Resident Evil fan mrsafetylion asked the question we’ve all been thinking since the gameplay reveal dropped: “So in canon, tighter shirt or more meat?”

There’s no denying Leon has been working out. At the ripe old age of 51, he’s still spin-kicking infected, but something about his physique this time around is just hitting different. Feels bad when I can't as a mid-20s man.

Some are arguing that this is Leon’s “true” form as it were, as his return in Resident Evil 4 (2005) saw the protagonist sporting a long-limbed character model which, “when condensed to fit a more realistic body proportion, we get RE4 Remake Leon with buffer arms.”

Whether it’s how he’s been all along, a trick of the light or a tighter shirt, the fact of the matter is Leon looks damn fine in Resident Evil Requiem, so it’s no surprise to see fans already fawning over him.

“Are they finally gonna give us shirtless Leon skin?” asked one eager fan. Bonk!

But let's be real, if it’s not an official skin in the game, you just know it won’t take long for it to be modded in.

“This man is absolutely majestic in 9 good Lord,” responded another.

It’s funny to see how the tables have turned over the years. While Leon had some impressive muscle mass, it was the boulder-puncher Chris Redfield who was always considered the buffest of the bunch. In Resident Evil Village though Chris was far less hench than his prior appearance.

All the muscle in the world isn’t going to prepare Leon for what’s to come in Resident Evil Requiem though, and I’m praying he gets to see the final credits…
