A new leak has suggested the release window for Resident Evil 10, and it seems closer than you think.
Resident Evil Requiem is almost on our doorstep, but teases and leaks over the last few months have suggested that Capcom has a bunch of other Resi games that are quite far along in development.
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, rumours suggest that remakes of Resident Evil 0 and Code Veronica are also coming soon.
Notable Resi leaker Dusk Golem claims that Resident Evil 10 could arrive as early as 2029, but may also be delayed a year or two depending on Capcom’s plans.
Advert
Answering a question regarding possible DLC for Resident Evil Requiem, Dusk Golem wrote that “I’ve heard pretty reliably Resident Evil Requiem has DLC that's further along in dev.”
They added: “RE9 got delayed in dev a few times, Apocalypse was aiming for 2023, then Requiem was aiming for 2025, delayed to 2026. As such, the ‘gap’ between RE9 & RE’10’ (though likely won't be called that) is a bit shorter than usual.”
Resident Evil 10 Is "Aiming" For 2029 Or 2030
Dusk Golem then states that Resident Evil 10 is “aiming for a 2029 release date, but could be delayed to 2030, 2031 at worst.”
They also state that they have a rough idea about Resi 10’s outline, including its director and other details, but won’t tell due to it being “too far out & everything subject to change”.

If it’s true that Capcom is also working on remakes of Code Veronica and Resident Evil 0, then it possibly means we get a new Resi game each year until 2029, which is one more than the Resident Evil 2, RE3, and Village hat trick we got between 2019 and 2021.
Resident Evil 0 is the prequel to the entire series, set prior to the events of the 1996 game. It follows STARS member Rebecca Chambers and convict Billy Coen as they explore an abandoned Umbrella facility. Code Veronica, on the other hand, is set between the events of Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4, featuring Chris and Claire Redfield.
Of course, be sure to take all of this with a pinch of salt. Dusk Golem has been right about a few things in the past, but was also found to be incorrect with certain leaks. As fun as rumours can be, they are just that: rumours.
Resident Evil Requiem releases for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S on 27 February, 2026.
