Resident Evil 4 fan shares this fun easter egg, which proves that Capcom has pretty much thought of everything.

Whichever version of Resident Evil 4 you like the most, both are absolute bangers and considered to be one of the best games of their time. In short, you can’t go wrong with either.

Personally, as much as the 2005 original holds a dear place in my heart, and despite completing it more times than I can count, I slightly lean towards the 2023 Resident Evil 4 remake as my favourite of the two.

However, no matter how many times you’ve played through each game, there’s still a good chance that there are one or two secrets that you may have missed. Such as the one featured in this article, shared by Reddit user Deep_Square5540. That being said, if you’re a Resident Evil 4 remake treasure hunter, you probably know of this particular easter egg.

Following the release of the Resident Evil 4 remake, rather than being included in the game, ‘Separate Ways’ was released as paid-for DLC. I know that decision raised a few eyebrows, but this DLC was far more substantial than the bonus chapter in the older game and is well worth Capcom’s £10 asking price, in my opinion.

“‘Separate Ways’ expands upon what was already a great product with the Resident Evil 4 remake, but it also introduces new features into the series that I hope will be carried over into new entries,” I said in my review.

“Resident Evil 4 is already a must-own game for fans of survival horror, and now that this version of ‘Separate Ways’ has entered the fray, it’s elevated the remake to new heights. Oh, and I think it’s time for Ada Wong to have her own fully-fledged game.”

What is this Resident Evil 4 easter egg, I hear you ask?

As shared by the aforementioned Reddit user, in Chapter 2 of ‘Separate Ways’, if you climb onto one of the church roofs (next to a crow's nest containing treasure), you can hear Ashley Graham sobbing in a room.

The reason you can hear Ashley is that this moment in ‘Separate Ways’ takes place before Leon S. Kennedy rescues her from the church in Chapter 5.

However, a similar thing also happens in the original Resident Evil 4. “Same thing in the OG. Door interaction says you can hear somebody,” says Rent-Man.

The original Resident Evil 4 is out now on just about every platform imaginable. The remake is available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox Series X/S. It’s also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
