Whether you’re going back into Red Dead Redemption 2 for another playthrough, or to keep you ticking over until GTA VI finally sees the light of day, you can grab this mod to extend your next journey in the wild west.

Created by YGBRO, this is a “hardcore difficulty mod that tweaks enemy health values to make combat more intense and strategic. Gunfights last longer, enemies won’t drop easily, and every battle feels more high-stakes.”

It’s safe to say that you’ll have your work cut out for you with this new adventure, you’ll need to try and survive as the world tries to kill you.

Every bullet could spell the end of your journey, so combat will take on a more ruthless edge.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is already a pretty hardcore game, with the need to survive landing at the top of your tasks.

This is a brand-new mod, so there aren’t a great deal of reviews or posts on NexusMods discussing the quality.

However, if you’re looking to replay the game on PC, this could be a great way to extend your time, especially if you’re hanging on in the hopes of seeing GTA VI anytime soon.

Modding allows community creators to bring pretty much anything they want to games, and for Rockstar Games’ masterpiece, you can find myriad ways to change your playthrough.

It sounds like this mod wants nothing more than to kill you - every outlaw, animal, and law officer will hunt you down, trying to end you in a hail of bullets.

Get this downloaded if you’re a bit of a masochist and need that extra level of danger in your game.
