Red Dead Redemption 2 players have more content to enjoy thanks to a new mod that expands the map.

It’s hard to imagine Rockstar Games surpassing Red Dead Redemption 2, as the game truly had it all.

A great story, open-world details that are just *chef’s kiss* and advanced gameplay mechanics that you just don’t see in other games in the genre.

GTA VI will likely be just as good if not better but Red Dead Redemption 2 raised the bar so high it’ll forever stand the test of time.

That said, allow me to drop a little hot take, Rockstar Games fumbled Red Dead Redemption 2 by not expanding it with DLC. Red Dead Online doesn’t count, I’m talking about the Story Mode.

Fortunately modders are on hand to fix that like the new RDRFR Unleashed mod, available to download for free on NexusMods.

This expansion turns you into the Wild West’s lawman, and before it only allowed you to patrol a small portion of the in-game map.

That’s now changed as the entire map is available to explore, as you bring justice to settlements and put an end to crime with a big iron on your hip.

You’ll find similar modes in other Rockstar Games titles, for instance GTA IV allowed you to somewhat become a policeman if you stole a police cruiser and used its radio. Mods fleshed this feature out more and would be replicated in GTA V.

Hopefully GTA VI goes that extra mile when it comes to side activities, as while the story will likely be gold half the fun of any Rockstar game is exploring the open-world and seeing what interesting things there are to do when you’re not causing carnage on the roads.

Be sure to try RDRFR Unleashed on NexusMods when you have the chance.
