Just when you think Red Dead Redemption 2 couldn’t surprise us anymore, one player has thrown another spanner in the works with a fast-travel tip.

It has been almost six years since Red Dead Redemption 2 was first released but the Rockstar title’s popularity shows no signs of slowing down.

Check out the trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 below!

That is why secrets, Easter eggs and features are still being discovered to this day, ranging from starter area surprises to a secret hidden within a cabin.

As a way to keep on track of all these discoveries, one person took to r/xboxone to ask “what are your best Red Dead Redemption 2 tips?”

It wasn’t long before fans flocked to the comments, almost 600 of them to be exact, but it was one handy tip that stood out amongst the rest.

As with any open-world game, fast travel can be a key feature no matter how it is implemented.

To fast travel in Red Dead Redemption 2, players can use trains or stagecoaches to get from one area to the next after unlocking the ability at the start of Chapter 2: Horseshoe Overlook.

Additionally, you can purchase a map for Arthur’s tent that will allow you to choose where to travel to from there.

However, according to one user on the Reddit thread, there is another way to do it and this one is a lot more cinematic.

“If you add a waypoint to where you want to go and change to the cinematic view, your horse will auto drive you to the location.”

There is no denying that this way will take a whole lot longer.

However, if you want to take in the sights and experience a more realistic way of travelling, then this is definitely the way to do it.

It seems as though others agree.

“You just changed the game for me, thank you so much,” one comment read.

Another said: “Oh my god, if this is true this changes everything.

One of the things that I loved about the recent Assassin's Creed games is that you could just make your horse follow the road to your objective while you sit back and take in the scenery (or browse Twitter and Reddit).”
