Despite its huge success, Red Dead Redemption 2 is yet to receive any expansions or DLC which has led some fans to start petitions calling for extra content.

Since its release in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been met with critical acclaim with some fans even confessing that it was the last game that really blew them away. Despite endless calls from its fan base for extra content, Rockstar has remained tight-lipped which has resulted in modders taking over and bringing new ideas to the game. This was seen in a recent mod that allowed players to run their own gun store.

However, fans are not going down without a fight with some even turning to Change.org to start petitions calling for a “single player Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC”. One petition that is currently ongoing with 11,563 signatures out of a goal of 15,000 calls for a DLC stating, “Let's get our voices heard. We want Red Dead Redemption 2 single player DLC. It doesn't have to be free.”

It wasn’t long before fans flocked to the petition to show their support. One supporter said, “I’m never going to pay for a single microtransaction, but I’ll gladly pay for single player DLC,” whilst another added, “I've thought the same thing since the launch of this game and honestly, I would rather pay for more content. The DLC content doesn't even have to be about the main characters from RDR2's campaign if it somehow impacts plans for, let's say, an RDR3.”

A more recent comment seemed to sum up what the majority of supporters think: “I LOVED RDR2's single player mode. It was without a doubt one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had in my gaming career. However, I have no interest at all in [Red Dead Online]. I would gladly pay another $20-30 for some new single player content, or even another $60 if it's robust enough, but Rockstar won't be getting a dime from me in online microtransactions. Rockstar, please listen to your player base and give us what we want - single player DLC!”

It remains to be seen if Rockstar will ever give fans the DLC content they want but it’s clear that it is something that will be met with a huge amount of support.
