Red Dead Redemption 2 players blown away by hidden alternate ending

Red Dead Redemption 2 players have discovered a hidden alternate ending to one of the game's key missions.

I do often wonder if there’s anybody out there who’s actually uncovered every single one of Red Dead Redemption 2’s secrets.

Of course, there’s no way to tell when we’ve appreciated all that there is to within Rockstar Games’ exquisitely detailed open world.

It constantly feels as if we’re making new discoveries but what’s new for one player, might not be new for another.

Still, it’s why Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to boast such an active community. Players are constantly filling each other in on new happenings, tricks, or pieces of lore they’ve stumbled across.

The topic of today’s article is an alternate ending to one of the game’s missions that I’m imagining quite a few of you won’t have experienced.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

The ending was pointed out by Reddit user Name12345678910-1 who said, “[Today I learned] that there’s an alternate scene if you escape the police after the drinking with Lenny mission.”

The mission essentially sees Arthur and Lenny get rather drunk. A brawl subsequently breaks out and the tipsy duo end up attempting to run away.

Unfortunately, Lenny is apprehended but Arthur has a couple of options. In most cases, he is either caught and is sent to a cell or he escapes and leaves Lenny behind.

There’s one more option though that’s similar to the first but with a humorous twist. In this version Arthur runs into a post, knocking himself out. This lands him a spot in the slammer, something he learns upon awakening.

“This is always hilarious to me. Either people always get caught, or never get caught, and have no idea the other cutscene exists,” replied InvisibleMadBadger.

“Yeah it took me my fourth playthrough to learn you could get caught,” added Wplong23.

There you have it. Something new for you to potentially try and unlock in your next playthrough.
