Following the Pokémon Day Presents for the 30th Anniversary livestream, fans have had the chance to grab some special freebies, including a trio of adorable starters from Pokémon Home.
It has been confirmed that compatibility between Pokémon Home and Pokémon Legends: Z-A will finally be available during the spring of 2026. While the exact date has yet to be revealed, there have already been some incentives announced for those looking to transfer their companions.
It is important to note that once Pokémon from previous games have been transferred to Pokémon Legends: Z-A, they won’t be able to transfer back to previous titles. However, they will be compatible with Pokémon Champions, a mobile game coming in April of 2026.
Pokémon Fans Can Get Three Starter Alphas For Free Via Home
In a social media post shared by the official Pokémon Home account, it has been confirmed that players can get a pretty fantastic freebie by depositing Pokémon caught in Legends: Z-A to Home.
Completing a transfer will allow players to claim a free Alpha Chikorita, Alpha Tepig, and Alpha Totodile. They won’t be Shiny, or have the ability to be rolled as Shiny, but their Alpha status gives them some bulky, worthwhile stats.

The Legends: Z-A starter trio isn’t easy to grind in-game, and this could be a great way for fans to add some powerhouses to their team before the endgame if they are still working through the main storyline.
Each of these Alpha Pokemon can be Mega Evolved in Legends: Z-A, and it looks like they will be compatible with Pokémon Champions when it drops in April. This is good news for those looking to bring a strong team to the fight when going up against trainers around the world.
It is important to note that these Alpha Pokémon will deposit as mystery gifts on the mobile version of Home. However, once they are claimed, they are yours to take and raise into powerful, Mega-evolved winners.
