PlayStation Plus has really become a bit of a must-have for those who main the PS5 as their console of choice, with a ton of benefits regardless of which tier you subscribe to.
The rotating games offering has been on a bit of a hot streak recently, with some huge titles releasing as part of the wider catalogue including Alan Wake 2, Silent Hill 2 and Yakuza: Like A Dragon added to the game catalogue over the last few months.
Despite obviously being a very complete deal for the PlayStation player, the subscription service is just that - a subscription service. As such, you need to part with a not-inconsiderable amount of your hard earned monies to get access to the goodies, particularly if you want to plum for the Premium tier to make sure you get everything.
Fortunately, there are a few ways to save yourself some money, including fudging the system a little bit to make sure you get the best deal possible.

PlayStation Plus Discount Available, You Just Have to Leave
Over on Reddit, one user shared a deal that's currently available to PlayStation players in which you can secure a year's worth of PlayStation Plus Deluxe for just $144, at a reduction of 33%.
If you aren't familiar, Deluxe is the equivalent to Premium in countries that don't support PS3 Cloud Streaming.
So you're getting the highest level of subscription for that price.
The only issue is that the sale is only visible for those who don't have an active subscription
Whilst it's a compelling deal in its own right, one user responded with their own hack for ensuring they get the best deal possible, after another poster complained their subscription doesn't finish until after the sale ends, precluding them from the offer.

"Cancel your subscription. Mine expires on the 12th of December and I'm seeing the discount for extending for another year," the comment read.
It's nice to know that cancelling your subscription makes the offer show up, as I'm sure many would be worried that they would cancel their sub and still not have the sale available to them.
At that price, we'd have to recommend picking PS Plus up for another year with the PS5 set to remain the console of focus for Sony for years to come.
Here's hoping December's offering of games manages to live up to the standards of recent months.
