Are you one of the many people that pre-ordered the upcoming PS4-exclusive Ghost Of Tsushima via Amazon? You might want to check your emails and ascertain the estimated delivery date, because it sounds like some copies of the open world samurai adventure won't make it in time for the July 17th release date.

As spotted by GamesRadar+, a number of would-be samurai have taken to Twitter to reveal that it looks like they won't be getting the game when it launches tomorrow. Given that's kind of the whole point of a pre-order, a good number of them are appropriately hacked off with Amazon.

What's really alarming is that most of the people who are complaining about the delayed orders have estimated delivery dates or weeks - even months - later than the release date. One unlucky soul looks like they won't be getting their copy until September.

While the majority of reports seem to be coming from customers who ordered via Amazon, it seems delays are also impact orders via Best Buy, GameStop, and even the official PlayStation store. It also looks as if the Collector's Edition is the version of the game that's been hardest hit, so please do check on your order status if you haven't already.

Back in March Final Fantasy VII Remake suffered from a similar fate, with both Square Enix and online retailers clearly shocked and unprepared at the increased demand for online orders as a result of the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Hopefully those with delayed orders aren't separated from the game for too long. In the meantime, you can read our review of Ghost Of Tsushima right here.
