PlayStation's gorgeous new retro inspired console has returned

In case you missed it, PlayStation created a modern replica of the original design we all had in our living rooms growing up back in 2024, and it sold out instantly.

At the time of writing this, you can now pre-order the 30th Anniversary PS5 Limited Edition Bundle on the PlayStation Direct website here. The product will be released on Monday, September 29. Prices start from £469.99.

First released back in December 1994, the nostalgic console took over living rooms around the world, with over 102,000,000 consoles sold in 12 years.

The original PlayStation introduced gamers to a whole new dimension of gaming, with more complex 3D experiences that pushed the boundaries of home video games.

Thirty years later, the new limited edition version pays tribute to the old-school design, with a throwback colour scheme elements and design aesthetic.

Now, the 2025 version comes with a limited edition console, controller, and disk drive, plus a pre-installed game: Astro's Playroom.
