While we're still a week away from the horror/madness/joy of Black Friday, PlayStation owners can enjoy some frankly fantastic savings on top games right now, courtesy of Sony's online sale starting a full seven days early.

As of right now, PS4 players can grab Resident Evil 2 - yes, this year's phenomenal remake of the old-school Capcom zombie classic - for £15.99. That's daylight robbery, near enough - but being online, you can log on and take advantage of the saving any time you like. One in the morning. As soon as you wake up. Whatever. Just be aware that this deal - and all the deals below - run only until December 2.

Here are some other bangers for your consideration:

Blood & Truth (needs PSVR) - £15.99
Days Gone - £34.99
Grand Theft Auto V - Premium Online Edition - £7.99
Borderlands 3 - £34.99
Marvel's Spider-Man - £15.99
Devil May Cry 5 - £15.99
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled - £22.74
Monster Hunter: World - £12.99
Battlefield V - £15.99
Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition - £29.99
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - £38.99

The Last of Us Remastered /
Sony

Them's some bargains, right there - and there's many more to wrap your wallet around, too. Titles in Sony's PlayStation Hits series are all down to £12.99 for the duration of this promotion, which means you can get God of War, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, The Last of Us Remastered and Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition for less than the price of a Friday-night-in pizza.

Mmm, Friday-night-in pizza.

All of these offers and more are live now on the PlayStation Store, where you can also get 25% off a 12-month PS+ membership, and there are deals on headsets at participating retailers, too.

And Nintendo and Xbox players, please, do not despair: great savings are also now live on your eshops of choice, so point your bargain-hungry eyes in those directions and get yourself entertained for less. (I just grabbed Katamari Damacy Reroll for Switch for £7.99 - banger - and am seriously considering dropping 15 quid on Cadence of Hyrule.)
