A rumoured PlayStation 5 Pro price leaves gamers sweating over parting with their hard-earned cash.

Rumours of the PlayStation 5 Pro have been floating around the internet for quite some time now. After all, we all know it’s inevitable. Ever since the OG PlayStation, Sony has released at least one revised console for every generation, so it makes sense for the PS5 to be no exception.

Some of the more recent rumours have claimed that the PS5 Pro could command a price in the range of around £600 to £700. Of course, this shiny new PS5 would likely have improved visuals and performance, as well as other snazzy bells and whistles.

What’s more, it is claimed that the PS5 Pro would likely launch in 2024 and with the PlayStation Showcase taking place later tonight, gamers are hoping to finally witness its unveiling.

To lean into previous rumours, as reported by altchar.com (via Red Gaming Tech), a recent report has reiterated claims that the PlayStation 5 Pro could cost up to $700. If those reports are indeed true, that would convert to about £565 in the UK.

However, as is often the case, the currency might not be taken into consideration, and the UK would probably get stung with the aforementioned £600 to £700 price range.

“I've heard that it' was going to be very expensive. I've been given some reports of $600 to $700 and given what's going on at the moment, that's a lot of cash," Red Gaming Tech claims in a recent video.

Red Gaming Tech went on to state that the PS5 Pro would also be powered by an AMD RDNA 3 GPU and a Zen 4 CPU, making the console twice as fast in rasterisation, and 2.5 faster in ray tracing performance compared to the original model.

A new Xbox console was also discussed, but it is believed that Microsoft will release a revised Xbox Series X after Sony launches its PlayStation 5 Pro. That all being said, at this time, these rumours are unconfirmed, so we should take them with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.
