PlayStation 5 gamers surprised with free download you can grab now

Celebrate summer with Eve!

The start of the year was dedicated to Stellar Blade and all the discourse that came with it.

Now a few months on and things have died down thanks to the “gamer bros” finally accepting that there is more to life than seeing a virtual bum cheek.

Check out the launch trailer for Stellar Blade below!

Discourse aside, we at GAMINGbible had a decent time with Stellar Blade.

Our review read: “Stellar Blade wasn't initially a game on my radar but it’s ended up being one of my favourite games of 2024 so far.

Aside from all of the potentially-polarising outfits, this is an epic action adventure from start to finish that kept me engaged and wanting to come back for more.

It doesn't do a great deal to reinvent the wheel but it doesn't need to.”

Now to celebrate its first summer, Stellar Blade received its summer update yesterday and it arrived alongside a bunch of new outfits and some limited-time features.

As well as two new outfits for Eve, the update also includes a “small area for a summer vacation” that can now be found in the Great Desert Oasis in-game.

The area is perfect to spend a summer’s day at, with chairs to lounge on, music to listen to and extra accessories as decoration.

Although the new outfits will remain, the new area is only around for a limited-time so make sure to head over there if you wish to see it because it’s gone.

If you’re in the U.K. like me, you will especially appreciate finally getting some sun, even if it is virtual.

Developers Shift Up previously announced that it is working on a photo mode for Stellar Blade but players “will have to wait a little longer” for it to arrive.
