Following the annual Xbox Showcase, if there’s one thing that’s been made abundantly clear, it's that it’s going to be a great time to be a gamer in 2026 and 2027.
The showcase was an eventful one with new game announcements and stunning gameplay reveals for some of the hottest games coming to the green brand. What’s more, if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you’re going to be eating well over the next year or two.
During the event, we were treated to the first Gears of War: E-Day gameplay and the news that it will no longer be coming to PlayStation 5. Instead, it will be an Xbox console exclusive. We also saw three brand-new missions that are included in the upcoming remake of Halo: Combat Evolved.
However, it’s not just Gears of War: E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved that will bring added value to Xbox Game Pass because throughout 2026 and 2027, subscribers have a lot more to look forward to.
You can catch Xbox Game Pass' upcoming day one launch line-up below, which includes the likes of Fable, State of Decay 3, Senua, Spyro: A Realm Beyond, and more.

“I guess my Ultimate subscription is gonna be getting renewed,” declared PoPo573 on Reddit.
“Clockwork Revolution gives me major Bioshock Infinite vibes,” replied dakilazical_253, highlighting another promising game from the line-up.
“Persona 6 day one Game Pass is nuts,” exclaimed Emperor-Octavian.
“The Devil's Deal looks really intriguing and reminds me of Dishonored. Super excited for that game,” said dishonoredlover05.
“Senua looks fantastic. Cannot wait for that,” declared RocMerc.
“It's crazy that they take COD out of the Game Pass to lower the price, and on the other hand, you get Halo, GOW on day one,” explained JohnnyKilimanscharo.
As an Xbox gamer since the original era, it feels nice to be excited for the future of the console again. Not only do I believe the return of console exclusives is the right way to go when it comes to brand identity, but there are a ton of absolute bangers coming to Xbox Game Pass this year and beyond.
It really does feel like Microsoft is finally taking a huge step in the right direction to get the brand back on track for not only this generation, but also the next generation. Over to you, PlayStation and Nintendo.
