Xbox's Newest Free Open-World RPG is a Hit With Gamers

Short, but sweet

This open world RPG has got a lot of Xbox Game Pass users hyped, because they believe it’s one of the best modern entries in this almost 20 year old franchise.

There’s a lot of stuff on Xbox Game Pass, so much so that it can be a little paralyzing browsing through all of the hundred hour long freebies that are included as part of your subscription.

What if you fancied playing something a little on the shorter side for once though? What about an open-world game, available for both Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X, that doesn’t require you to fork over dozens of hours of your free time just to complete it, for instance?

Well in that case, a lot of users over on the r/XboxGamePass are suggesting that you give its latest addition a go: Assassins Creed Mirage.

As revealed on the official Xbox Blog, this 2023 Ubisoft title is now available for both Xbox Ultimate and Xbox PC subscribers, and most of the people in the comments are heavily suggesting that you give this one a go– especially if you’ve grown a bit tired of the more recent, overly long Assassin’s Creed titles.

“Well worth a play, even if you hate the RPGs after Origins,” commented user shadowlarvitar.

“It's small and not that long story wise, easy to 100% the achievement list too if you care about those.”

“It's short, but gameplay-wise it's one of the better ones since Black Flag,” replied user soliquidus_bosselot.

“I would definitely recommend this to anyone who hasn't played it yet,” replied user Vegeta_25.

“Such a great game. Even though it's kinda short, the story and gameplay is really good.”

Honestly I’m kinda tempted to give this one a go now, based on what the comments are saying.

Modern Assassin’s Creed games just ask a bit too much, time-wise, so hopping into a bite-sized experience sounds like good fun to me.
