Fans of Battlefield or shooters in general will love this upcoming release which aims to welcome back an iconic addition to the genre.

Last month it was revealed that Delta Force would be launched on the Xbox Series X/S this August but for some lucky players, they can dive in right now.

Courtesy of the Microsoft Xbox Insider hub, players from certain regions can now play the free-to-play tactical shooter from now until 20 July at 6pm PT / 9pm ET.

That is thanks to the Delta Force beta but be warned that this is a tech test and “limited space is available and offered first-come first-served”.

Additionally, it is only open to players from Mexico, Canada and U.S regions.

However, if you are eligible, here is how to access the Delta Force beta.

  1. Sign-in on your Xbox Series X|S console and launch the Xbox Insider Hub app (or install the Xbox Insider Hub from the Store first if necessary)
  2. Navigate to Previews > Delta Force BETA
  3. Select Join
  4. Wait for the registration to complete and be directed to the Store and install Delta Force Beta for CBT Xbox

If you are not eligible, don’t worry as the full Delta Force experience will be launched worldwide on 19 August so there are just a few weeks to wait.

As explained, Delta Force has been compared to other tactical shooters on the market such as the Battlefield and Call of Duty franchises.

However, Delta Force has been on quite the journey throughout development thanks to multiple name changes. Originally titled Delta Force, it was soon changed to Delta Force: Hawks Ops before being reverted back to the original name.

Regardless, the free-to-play tactical shooter is a must-play for fans of the genre and luckily, you have the chance to dive in right now.
