Xbox finally receives a major update, adding features that we’ve been waiting years for. Better late than never, as they say.
Whether we play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo, our video games are always evolving and improving courtesy of updates that enhance visuals and performance, add new features and more.
Consoles also get similar updates that aim to make the player experience more enjoyable, and the Xbox Series X/S is no exception. Microsoft has made its Xbox Game Pass subscription service a main focus.
Over the years, Xbox Game Pass has provided hundreds of games that we can play in an instant via the console at home while sitting on the sofa. The slogan “play anywhere” is something that Microsoft has taken quite literally.

Streaming games instead of downloading them means that we won't have huge files taking up precious storage space. Furthermore, as long as we have a stable internet connection, we can stream games to our mobile devices just about anywhere in the world via the cloud.
This week, as detailed on Xbox Wire, Microsoft’s cloud service has improved yet again, and this time, its library of games has become even more accessible.
You can now stream the digital Xbox games you own on PC. Before now, on PC, this feature was only available for titles included in the Game Pass library.
What’s more, your save data will now function on both PC and Xbox when streaming via the cloud. So, you can begin a game on Xbox, jet off to another country, and continue where you left off when playing on PC and mobile devices.

Finally, you can now also earn Microsoft Rewards points when playing games via the Xbox PC app, and not just on your Xbox console. Microsoft Reward points can be redeemed against Xbox store credit, giveaways, charitable donations and more.
Now, if you excuse me, I’m off to play Gears of War on my phone in Timbuktu.
