Xbox offers record-low 90% discount on beloved action-adventure trilogy

The latest Xbox sale is currently boasting one of the best deals you’ll find for quite some time, an entire trilogy for less than $10.

When sales on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam and the Nintendo eShop roll around it’s always a good idea to keep an eye out for bundle deals. They tend to offer the most bang for your buck, but some bundles can be a little cheeky and not look like bundles.

A good example can be found in the current Xbox sale, where you’ll find the entire critically-acclaimed Darksiders trilogy for an absolute steal. A record-low price too good to ignore. Don’t jump the gun though, you’d be a fool to buy each game separately when there’s a better alternative.

At the time of writing you can grab Darksiders III and Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition for $3.99 and $2.99 respectively. Both are great offers, but what the uninitiated might not know is Darksiders III Blades & Whip Edition contains all three games for a grand total of $7.99; with some DLC included.

Now this is a phenomenal deal, but it’ll only last until August 13, so act now if you want to add these games to your collection.

This seems to be an Xbox-exclusive discount as neither PlayStation nor Steam have these games listed at such a low price.

Why you should play the Darksiders games in 2026

For those who are yet to play these action-adventure games, they’re hack-and-slash titles that feel fundamentally different with each title.

They all have their constants such as tight-controlled combat and plenty of puzzles, but each game is focused on a new protagonist with their own special powers, abilities and fighting style.

Darksiders tells the tale of one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse; War, who’s tricked into starting the end of the world too soon. Like Kratos in God of War, his story is one of vengeance.

While there's plenty of combat this one gets a lot of comparisons to the Legend of Zelda games, as there are loads of puzzles to solve along the way.

Darksiders II is a little different. This time the star of the show is another horseman; Death, who’s on a mission to resurrect the humans killed by War at the start of the first game.

An average playthrough will take around 30 hours and its gameplay borrows heavily from the Diablo series.

Finally, Darksiders III is about yet another horseman; Fury, who’s tasked with slaying the Seven Deadly Sins.

This one if the most combat-heavy of the three, with tighter duels that have seen it be compared to the Dark Souls games.

Now’s the perfect time to play the above titles if you haven’t already as Darksiders 4 is confirmed to be in development. It’s said to pick up right where the other games left off and incorporate all playable characters into its story.

For a price as low as $7.99 Darksiders III Blades & Whip Edition isn’t a deal to sleep on, even if you don’t think you’ll be playing it for a while.
