Xbox users are getting more updates, as Microsoft fully backs the company’s plans to streamline your console experience.
With new leadership at the helm, there have been several meaningful changes taking place at Xbox.
There seems to be a new emphasis on the games that make Xbox great. The players have been pushed to the forefront of this new vision for the future.
Recently, Xbox Achievements saw a massive overhaul that finally addressed user feedback. Some of the changes included updated designs for the achievements themselves, new ways to show off your gaming exploits, and positive UI changes that make it easier to see what you have and haven’t completed.

Xbox confirmed that it’ll continue to take onboard user feedback to improve things further.
That move has seemingly paid off as even more updates are reportedly on the way thanks to a greenlight from Microsoft.
According to WindowsCentral’s Jez Corden, Microsoft has awarded Xbox more leeway in updates and features that are not tied to overall profits.
Corden said: “One thing I've heard lately is that Xbox has reduced the top-down margin pressure. This has given Xbox extra margin to work on features and systems that aren't directly tied to profitability.”
Examples include the recent changes to Xbox Achievements. Updating the way they work and appear on your console isn’t going to sell more units, but it will create relations between the company and its players, as we’ve already seen.
There's so much potential for this move as there are a wide variety of features Xbox is sorely lacking in, which could see improvement now that less pressure is being placed on the company.
For instance, Xbox Snap was one of the selling points for the Xbox One, allowing you to play games while watching videos in a smaller window. This feature was eventually taken away but would probably do well nowadays, so we hope to see it return.

Xbox Capture is also due an overhaul. The PlayStation 5 allows players to internally record up to an hour of gameplay whereas the Xbox users are restricted to minutes unless they have an external hard drive attached.
Avatars would also do well to return in some capacity. They never left but you hardly see them nowadays or at least not as much as you would on the Xbox 360.
Hopefully, Xbox’s new commitment to player feedback will see some of these features return.
