It is no secret that gaming is an expensive hobby and with titles getting more and more expensive each year, it is sometimes impossible to get your hands on new releases. However, thanks to the Microsoft Rewards scheme, some players have managed to get their hands on whole libraries of games for absolutely free.

The Microsoft Rewards scheme for Xbox users allows players to earn points which can then be used to get gift cards, sweepstakes and more specifically, a whole lot of games. Just by signing up, you can start earning in a variety of different ways.

Earning points is beyond simple with them being racked up during searches online and on mobile via the Bing browser and even by browsing online in the Microsoft Edge browser. Additionally, you can play games to earn some extra points and even more so if you use the Xbox App for Windows.

Not only that but you can also earn them by purchasing items via the Microsoft Store as well as buying movies, apps and Xbox games digitally.

However, if you aren’t prepared to earn points by spending money, you can also earn them for free by checking out the Microsoft Rewards dashboard which features daily quizzes, polls and trivia you can play along with.

For one Reddit user, hoarding these points has allowed them to ‘purchase’ 14 games via the scheme. “I love Microsoft Rewards,” read their post, alongside a screenshot of which games they had managed to get their hands on. This included titles such as Saints Row, The Halo Collection, Bayonetta and more.

So if you are an Xbox user, simply sign up to the reward scheme to get started on earning those points. If you use them enough, it may be a while until you actually have to purchase a game yourself.
