To celebrate the recently revealed Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Xbox users are being rewarded with free in-store credit.
We’re in the midst of Spring right now but this time of year doesn’t just mark the return of nature’s finest; it’s also a fantastic period for video game sales and offers.
Xbox has a wide-variety of bangers currently on sale for those who don’t have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription, though now is actually a great time to get one since the latest price cut.
If you’re hoping to save more on your next purchase though, Xbox is currently running a surprise promo in collaboration with a game you were likely going to play already…

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was revealed to the world last week, and oh what a reveal it was.
Rebuilt from the ground up for new-gen consoles, Resynced doesn’t just give the best Assassin’s Creed game a visual makeover; it also introduces quality-of-life improvements that fix issues that have been with the game for over 16 years.

It looks stellar, but it’s a shame the game won’t be content-complete come launch day.
Speaking of launch day, those who preorder the game on Xbox are being rewarded with free in-store credit vouchers, but only in certain parts of the world.
Xbox owner Noirx360 brought the deal to our attention on X, along with an image of the offer being distributed.
Noirx360 added: “I almost never pre order but this makes me think twice. The game looks amazing and you get a slight bonus too, decent deal.”
It’s true, that’s definitely an incentive to preorder with Xbox rather than on PC or with PlayStation, especially for die-hard Assassin’s Creed fans who were always going to play the game day-one.
The only caveat is this deal is reportedly exclusive to the United States, for some reason. If you’re in the United Kingdom like us or any other part of the world, you’ll miss out on the reward.
Where did this offer come from in the first place though? Neither Xbox nor Ubisoft has been shouting about it from the rooftops which would imply it’s a bit of a random offering, much like some of the other recent giveaways.
Just the other week, Xbox users started reporting a no-strings-attached $5 Xbox gift card appearing in their inboxes.
These weren’t scams either, they were indeed coming from Xbox. A simple gesture of goodwill amidst the latest sales. Like the Assassin’s Creed offer these were only offered to a select few Xbox users.
Whether this is a positive sign of things to come is unknown but it’s clear Xbox is making an active attempt to become more user-friendly.
Perhaps we’ll see more giveaways like the Assassin’s Creed deal in the future, as like Noirx360 said it’s a great incentive to lock in a preorder rather than wait for launch day, or subsequent discounts.
