Xbox Game Pass subscribers are about to receive an incredible souls-like experience that they shouldn’t sleep on.

If you haven’t heard of Lies Of P yet, where’ve you been? Developed by Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio, it’s a game that takes a lot of inspiration from FromSoftware’s eldrich-inspired Bloodborne.

Check out Lies Of P below!

Loosely based on the story of Pinocchio, the game follows a puppet created by Geppeto, who awakens within the city of Krat, which has been plagued by a strange virus that’s turned all of its robotic servants evil.

Players will need to uncover the mystery of what Krat City and find the cause of the servant uprising, facing danger around every corner.

It basically plays like a souls game, featuring close-quarters combat, rest points that reset the enemies, glorious boss fights and lots and lots of dodging.

It does differ in a few areas though, as while it borrows the same stat system to level up your health, stamina, strength etc, the weapon customisation is incredibly unique. Instead of finding the weapon you want to use and upgrading it to be stronger, players will be able to mix and match a weapon’s blade and handles, to create different combinations with their own range and damage outputs.

They can also upgrade the robotic arm your character has with different attachments, like ranged weapons and a grappling hook to pull enemies within slashing range.

While Lies of P will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Xbox fans will be able to try out the game without buying the full release, if they’re subscribed to Xbox Game Pass.

Players on all platforms can also grab 72 hours of early access, provided they’re willing to splurge on the deluxe edition of the game.

For those who are content on waiting for the official release though, Lies of P will be available on 18 September for PlayStation, PC and Xbox platforms, with the latter also including Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
