Xbox Game Pass is dying unfortunately as gamers are still slating its recent price hike, with many unsubscribing in response.
Personally I could take it or leave it as while the price has gone up the value is still there if you primarily play games on Xbox. If you have other subscriptions like PlayStation Plus and Nintendo Switch Online perhaps it’s worth considering how badly you need them all.
Xbox has tried its best to make the price increase more agreeable though, just in the best ways.
Fortnite Crew is a good example of that as while it's nice for Fortnite players to get some freebies it’s a pretty useless addition if you don’t play Epic Games’ battle royale.

As if to try and sweeten the deal further a bunch of games have been added to Xbox Game Pass this month but they pale in comparison to what the PlayStation gamers have been getting.
Four retro titles can now be found on your Xbox Game Pass subscription, two of which are the first entries in moderately beloved series.
The games include; BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception (1989), BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Revenge (1990), Ice Hockey (1981) and finally Moonsweeper (1983).
Not a bad line-up if you’re a fan of game preservation and classic titles. These games in particular are very retro, coming from consoles like the Amiga and Atari 2600.

Xbox gamers have access to loads of other retro classics too, with the line-up continuing to grow as time goes on.
Will subscribers stick around to claim them though? PlayStation Plus offers its own line-up of retro games and arguably more compelling titles, as it gathers the best of PlayStation’s long history such as the first Resident Evil games and some of the PlayStation 2’s greatest hits.
Nintendo Switch Online is also a solid deal if you’re willing to use it enough, and is even better on the Nintendo Switch 2 which has exclusive access to the Nintendo GameCube library.
At the time of writing Xbox Game Pass just can’t seem to catch a break, as even when a new blockbuster MMO is added to the subscription service the majority of responses go back to that recent price-hike.

More and more users are threatening to cancel their memberships so it makes you wonder what magic Xbox has up its sleeve to win back favour with its disgruntled fans.
