Despite the controversy surrounding the Xbox Game Pass in recent weeks, one new and exciting MMO is now free to play for subscribers and it is not one you want to miss out on.
Last month saw Microsoft announce that it would be increasing the price of its Xbox Game Pass subscription service by 50% in October with the cost for the Ultimate tier now costing $29.99 / £22.99 per month (from $19.99 / £14.99).
With other tiers also being hit with the major price increase, it is not a good time for Microsoft with millions of users cancelling their Game Pass subscription.
However, for those who are still holding on in the hopes that it will be worth the money in the long run, one exciting new MMORPG is the latest title to be added to the service.

Available for both Xbox Game Pass Premium and Ultimate members, Pax Dei can now be played at no extra cost and you do not want to miss out on this “vast, social sandbox MMO”.
Developed by Mainframe Industries, Pax Dei is inspired by the “legends of the medieval era” and set in a land where myths are real, ghosts exist, and magic is unquestioned.
Alongside thousands of other players, you will be able to explore the vast world, build your home, forge your reputation and craft your very own story from the ground up as you make the world your very own.
As with many MMORPGs, you will have to pay a monthly subscription fee to be able to access all of its online features but with Xbox Game’s Pass Pax Dei, you will have game access as well as 2x character slots and a free 1-month Premium Membership which will give you access to one plot to build your home on.

“Travel the relative safety of the Heartlands and find the perfect plot of land on which to build your home,” the Xbox synopsis for Pax Dei reads.
“Protected by the grace of the Divine, your village is a safe harbor where your Clan can grow and prosper.
Everything in this world is produced by the players' hands and skills. Your village needs clothes, walls, food, flowers, and prayers.
Your Clan, weapons, and armor. Others require tools, materials, or mysterious reagents. It’s easy to find your place and play your part in this breathing world.”

However, after weeks of controversies surrounding Microsoft’s decision, it seems as though players have united once more after news of Pax Dei’s inclusion on the Game Pass was revealed.
In response to the Xbox Game Pass Twitter account revealing the game with the caption “You have important business to attend to”, the replies soon started flooding in.
“Not for $30 a month I don't…,” one user shared.
“Yes, like cancelling Game Pass,” another added.

Well, it seems as though the choice is yours but with Pax Dei now available worldwide, it is up to you to decide if the urge to check it out is stronger than the urge to cancel that Xbox Game Pass subscription.
