Xbox Game Pass subscribers have been urged to check out this underrated banger that cannot be missed.
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service offers a lot of bang for your buck, especially if you subscribe to the Ultimate tier. With an ever-rotating library, you’ll easily find a game that piques your interest, whether it’s a AAA big-hitter or an indie darling.
One such game has been recently added to Xbox Game Pass (previously only available as a trial), and it’s an adventure RPG with a respectable score of 80 on the aggregate website Metacritic. The game in question is Dredge, developed by Black Salty Games.

In our review of Dredge, we said: “Taken purely as a fishing game, Dredge is good fun for a few hours - if nothing new. But when that already engaging loop of upgrades and new discoveries is expertly woven into an atmospheric Lovecraftian tale of unfathomable horrors, it suddenly becomes one of the best video games of 2023.”
As announced on the Xbox Game Pass social media channels, Dredge is available today at no extra cost. “Dredge is now live on Game Pass,” said Redditor Laughing__Man. “I highly suggest people give this a try.”

“I second this. Dredge is one of my favourite games I've played in the past year,” agreed ze_shotstopper.
“Set it to passive mode if you want to just cruise around and fish/find treasure. It takes the bite out of things,” suggests the pun-tastic diddlinderek.
“I've been so close to buying this for so long, I’m glad it’s now on Xbox Game Pass,” replied itschody.
If you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber that may have been wanting to play Dredge, now is your chance. That being said, Dredge won't likely be on Xbox Game Pass forever, so it might be wise to play it sooner rather than later.
