Xbox has upgraded its cloud-streaming capabilities, with more games now available for you to stream directly to your console.

Over the past few months, Xbox has been making strides to create the best user-experience possible for its players, one of which being the option to cloud-stream your games.

PlayStation also offers this feature, but it’s still relatively new and unfortunately locked behind a frankly huge paywall, PlayStation Plus Premium.

For Xbox consoles, all you need is a subscription to Xbox Game Pass, which is a bit more affordable and arguably gives you a better bang for your buck, especially with the addition of titles like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Previously only games made available through Xbox Game Pass itself could be cloud-streamed, but a recent development now suggests otherwise.

According to Game Pass Tracker on Twitter, “games purchased from the Microsoft Store started appearing on the service,” over the last few days.

The games themselves are unplayable at the time of writing, though their addition to the list indicates this should change very soon.

You will of course need the aforementioned subscription to Xbox Game Pass, in addition to a pretty strong internet connection for the best overall experience, though nevertheless it’s a cool feature.

Fans couldn’t be happier, with many believing it to be a step in the right direction for Xbox’s offering.

One user said: “This is great. Microsoft seems to earnestly be working on its game preservation and quality of life promises.”

Another added: “Really great news! I remember seeing a quote from [Phil Spencer] saying that they planned to have it this year, very glad.”

So if you primarily play via cloud-streaming, keep an eye on your library to see which games will be made compatible with the service next.
