Xbox Drops 4 Free Games You've 48 Hours To Grab

Limited time fun

The latest edition of Free Play Days is here on Xbox.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s perhaps an event with a slightly misleading title.

Free Play Days typically grants Xbox users free access to certain titles for the duration of a weekend but in many cases, these aren’t free to all users.

Occasionally, you may get a title that is, but so many require you to have a Game Pass subscription - and that’s certainly a touchy topic right now.

This time around, there is one Game Pass subscriber title, one free for all title, and two free for all timed trials, so it’s not the worst line-up I’ve ever seen.

Let’s start with Game Pass.

Ultimate, premium, and essential tier subscribers can now enjoy Sudden Strike 4 - European Battlefields Edition for a limited time - from now until Sunday 5 October, to be precise.

“The world is at war, will you answer the call? World War II real-time strategy heavyweight Sudden Strike 4 – European Battlefields Edition will send you through three extensive campaigns across Europe,” reads the synopsis.

I can’t see this luring in a ton of people but if you do like what you play, you can enjoy 60% off from 2 to 13 October, bringing the price down to $11.99.

As for that free for all game, you can now dive into Polterguys: Possession Party, also until 5 October.

To make it abundantly clear, you don’t need a Game Pass subscription for this one.

Polterguys: Possession Party is a supernatural multiplayer where eight players will use sabotage techniques to try and get their opponents captured by a monster.

There are special powers, a variety of maps, and fun traps; it’s a great game to play with friends.

I also mentioned two timed trials. These are also free to all until 5 October.

You can sample two hours of Dustborn, a single-player action-adventure title.

It’ll see you embark on a road trip across a divided USA where you’ll have to “use the power of words to shape the relationships with your crew, get out of trouble and reach your final destination”.

Personally, I’d say this one is just about classed as a cosy game so it may be a perfect night’s entertainment all snuggled up.

In addition to that, you can also enjoy three hours of Ready or Not which definitely is not cosy.

The 2023 tactical first-person shooter sees you join a police SWAT team in the fictional city of Los Sueños; it’s one Call of Duty fans will likely enjoy.

As a reminder, you have just a few days to enjoy these games so go, go, go.
