However, in an effort to help users, Microsoft has multiple ways for Xbox users to get their hands on free store credit, even if it does not make it obvious.
According to one user over on r/xbox, heading to the Xbox app and navigating to your profile will locate a bunch of freebies that are accessible by completing daily objectives.
“It’s usually very small amounts. Eventually after months and months and months of grinding, you can get some pretty cool stuff. The $100 gift card for your MS Account is valued the most,” the user shared.
Additionally, a fellow user offered another selection of ways that Xbox users can save up some free store credit.

They recommend downloading the MSN app (previously Microsoft Rewards) and taking part in various activities such as reaching and searching up articles on Bing which in turn, will reward you with points that can be exchanged for free store credit.
“Reading articles/searching on Bing gives five points each, 280 total daily if you do them all (cooldown after about 25 points/five searches for like 10 minutes), but I rarely do more than 45 by hitting 'search random' or just searching whatever is trending without typing anything,” the user explained.
Additionally, logging into the app just once a day will reward you with a bunch of points and as a result of this, the user has accumulated over $1,500 since first using the service in 2018.
As you can probably guess, this equals a lot of free games in the long run.
