Xbox drops 30 free games to download and check out, no subscription needed

It's time to discover some new games

Microsoft and Xbox have announced a new demo event that will run through to 31 December 2023 allowing players download a bunch of games to try out. These events have taken place previously and are a great way to showcase upcoming games letting players get a glimpse of what's to come.

There are over 30 games to play covering many different genres from all kinds of teams across the world. Among the games are some newly announced Xbox titles that we can get excited for. You can find the full list below.

Xbox has made a name for itself for promoting games via demo events

The ID@Xbox Game Demo Winterfest is currently happening and Xbox has announced 10 new games coming to the platform soon:

  • 502's Arcade
  • Captain Bones
  • Champion Shift
  • Dinosaur Fossil Hunter
  • Donut Dodo
  • New Star GP
  • Roguematch: The Extraplanar Invasion
  • Slopecrashers
  • The Land Beneath Us
  • Vagrus: The Riven Realms

Each of these games were previously unannounced and they join plenty of other great games, including:

It's a very eclectic list from Microsoft, featuring everything from 2D adventures to 3D action games. There are a few great puzzle games on the list along with some arcade classics like Pinball. With a few weeks left to try these games you could play a couple of them each day and get to experience a wealth of different creations.

These games can all be found on the Xbox storefront and can be downloaded before playing. Remember to make note of the games you love so you can preorder them before they release in the future.
