Xbox fans are amazed to see how much you can win on Microsoft Rewards, if you’re lucky anyway.

You’ve probably heard the news recently that PlayStation Stars, the PlayStation rewards program, is getting discontinued with no known replacement, but fear not as Xbox’s loyalty scheme is holding strong.

In fact, a new addition to Microsoft Rewards is already yielding fruit as it now features scratch cards with some ridiculously good prizes buried beneath.

One user had a go on these scratch cards and walked away with $100 worth of Xbox in-store credit, a generous amount that’d probably get you two AAA games or a few other titles depending on how you shop around.

Gift cards aren’t the only prize on offer, however, as there are plenty of other prizes to be won but the chances aren’t in your favour, especially for some of the big stuff.

As good as the prizes are though, it’s worth pointing out that this is essentially gambling, and you could use those points for actual gift cards rather than sending them all away for little to no chance of getting rewarded.

That said, it’s better than what PlayStation is offering right now which is next to nothing as the PlayStation Stars program was hit with several changes that made it less likely to yield anything in the way of in-store credit, and soon you won’t be able to earn points through it at all.

This gives Xbox a chance to really push its rewards program further and offer more incentive to use it.

Fortunately, it’s very easy to rack up the points as you can earn them through your Xbox itself as well as PC, with points awarded for playing a certain number of games every week, completing challenges, and subscribing to Xbox Game Pass.
