PlayStation gamers don’t have long to claim the rest of their in-store credit, so if you’ve forgotten about the rewards app now’s the time to remember it exists.
PlayStation Stars wasn’t a perfect service by any means but it was certainly decent, at least when it first began.
Over time the rewards became less and less impressive as well as the way you earn points butchered, and don’t even get me started on what was basically NFTs being given away as “rewards.”

PlayStation has clearly decided it’s not worth continuing though and will scrap the service entirely soon enough, but is yet to announce any sort of replacement.
Xbox moved away from Microsoft Rewards as its primary source of free credit but at least offered a replacement in the Xbox Rewards Hub, which isn’t as good but it’s there nonetheless so it’s better than nothing.
Anyway I digress, the PlayStation Stars app is disappearing and pretty soon you won’t be able to earn anymore points through it, so if you’ve got any saved up now’s probably the time to use them.
If you’d forgotten the app existed in the first place like Reddit user Secret-Part-2610, now’s the time to remember as they made a post saying they’d gone back to it after quite some time to find “$20 worth of points” to spend on a new game.

Even if you haven’t engaged with the app in a while it will have been collecting points for you whenever you purchase something from the PlayStation Store, so you could have a pretty hefty balance and not even know it.
Hopefully PlayStation announces a new service to replace PlayStation Stars, but in the meantime enjoy what time you have left with it and make sure you’re getting everything you can out of it before it’s gone for good.
