In what could be one of the surprise hits coming from the Xbox Games Showcase, a new adventure that’s Uncharted meets Starfield is gaining a lot of attention from gamers.
While one is quite linear, and the other is open-world (so to speak), both the Uncharted series from Naughty Dog and Bethesda’s Starfield provide players with a great sense of adventure.
In Uncharted, as Nathan Drake, players embark on globe-trotting adventures on the hunt for ancient artefacts, inspired by the likes of Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider. Whereas Starfield can be described as Skyrim in space.

However, what if there were a game that blended both Uncharted and Starfield into one glorious adventure? Well, such a game does exist, and it’s on the way relatively soon.
Announced during the Xbox Games Showcase over the weekend, Aphelion is developed by DON’T NOD, the studio that brought us the likes of Remember Me, Life is Strange and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.
“Aphelion is a third-person sci-fi adventure. After crash-landing on a frozen planet, astronaut Ariane must navigate brutal terrain and shifting realities to rescue her injured partner, Thomas,” reads the synopsis of the game.
“Blending exploration, traversal, and tense stealth gameplay, Aphelion delivers a cinematic, emotionally charged journey through an uncharted world. Play as both characters to understand the mystery of the planet Persephone in a story grounded in real-world science.”

After being treated to its debut trailer, Aphelion has already garnered a positive response from gamers.
“If it's half as good as Banishers: Ghost Of Eden, it is already a great game,” said LxgMex on Twitter.
“I'm not into space-type games, but this one surely caught my eye,” replied tresvsss.
“I wasn't expecting another DON’T NOD game so soon! The trailer already has me intrigued,” said a happy breakingdead1.
