Xbox Series S users excited to get their hands on Grand Theft Auto VI at launch clearly aren’t worried about the naysayers waffling about the console’s lack of power, mostly because they have complete faith in Rockstar Games.
A lot of people like to talk down on the Xbox Series S. Sure, it’s less powerful than a PlayStation 5, but Microsoft has never tried to hide that fact.
For many, the Xbox Series S was their only option if they wanted to game on a budget. It’s much lower price point and paired with Xbox Games Pass, it makes playing new games affordable.

It’s often blamed for holding current-gen games back, as people believe that developers have to downgrade their games during development to run on the console.
So, are those excited for Grand Theft Auto VI worried that the system won’t be able to keep up with the likes of the Xbox Series X, or even the PlayStation 5 Pro?
Nope, at least according to the comments in a thread over on the r/XboxSeriesS subreddit.
GTA VI still lacks a second trailer.
“Bro, Rockstar literally confirmed the Series S version,” commented user TheGirafeMan. “And they rarely disappoint, I highly doubt that Rockstar would release a sh**ty version of a game that needs to do great.”

“100% agree. Maybe people say that at first glance looking at the size of the console. Sure it's small but they don't look at the specifications of the console,” replied user XYZNotARs.
“I have played so many games on my Series S, It's amazing and can run any game smoothly, and has amazing graphics when used with a 4k Display or TV.”
I think the commenters are right. GTA VI will be more than playable on the Xbox Series S, but we’ll get a re-released version of the game for next-gen systems that will truly show off what it can do later on down the line… just as we did with GTA V.
We really better hope it doesn’t retail for $100 if we gotta pay for it twice…
