GTA VI is going to look jaw-dropping, no doubt, and this new update for GTA V could be giving us a taste of what’s to come.

Enjoy GTA V while it lasts by the way, as it’ll be a thing of the past by the end of the year, yet I’m sure it’ll still have its fans long into 2026.

It’s been a long time since 2013, it’ll be sad to see it go.

On its way out though, there’s one last update for the game that’s worth paying attention to, for PC users only I’m afraid.

This is the GTA V Enhanced, or NaturalVision Enhanced, mod that Rockstar Games has been fully onboard with.

The mod is a simple graphic boost that allows the player to tweak the world in several ways, enhancing the lighting and generally pushing the boundary of GTA V’s engine on PC.

It’s an impressive upgrade and one that’s well-worth trying out when it drops on 15 May, perhaps for one last ride through Los Santos before GTA VI comes out.

“Going to try this mod, probably will look nice,” read one of the comments on the post announcing the release date of the mod, with another adding, “My PC is gonna hate me.” One user even joked that “GTA VI is looking more and more finished".

On the topic of GTA VI, this does give us a small indication of what the game may look like when it launches later this year, as we know it’s going to look nicer but without some actual gameplay, it's unclear what the difference will be.

Red Dead Redemption 2 remains an excellent graphical showcase despite being made for the Xbox One/PlayStation 4 era, without any upgrades for Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 either.

With that in mind, Lord knows how good GTA VI is going to look when it launches this fall, given it’s been made with new-gen systems in mind.
