Fans are dying to learn more about the highly anticipated Fallout 5 but we currently know little about the post-apocalyptic RPG but a recent interview might be music to our ears.

We know that Fallout 5 is coming but we don't know exactly when. What’s more, we don't know what its story will be or even what platforms Bethesda will release on, yet, it’s still one of the most highly anticipated games of this era.

Check out the Fallout 4 trailer below!

The only light that we have at the end of the tunnel which is almost as bright as a dweller venturing from a vault for the very first time is that Starfield expansion Shattered Space has now been released. So the next major RPG from Bethesda will likely be The Elder Scrolls VI or the aforementioned, Fallout 5.

However, what we still don't know whether Fallout 5 will be released before The Elder Scrolls VI or vice versa. The safe assumption to make would be that either game is likely to be a next-gen title.

In an interview with YouTuber MrMattyPlays, he had the opportunity to speak to Bethesda head honcho Todd Howard.

When asked for an update on the development of Fallout 5, Howard replied “Fallout has never been more popular and people are hungry for even more. We’ve never stopped doing Fallout work. A lot of that work goes on in Fallout 76.”

He continued: “[I] totally get the desire for a new mainline single-player game, and those things take time. I don’t think it’s bad for people to miss things. We just want to get it right.” While Fallout 5 wasn't mentioned directly, I think we all know what he’s talking about.

As always, we’ll keep you posted when we hear further information on the progress of Fallout 5. In the meantime, you can play every game in the series from Fallout 3, if you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.
