Announced during the Xbox Games Showcase is a new action RPG that will surely please fans of Bloodborne and The Witcher.
Sure, this might not be the FromSoftware classic Bloodborne. Heck, not even PC can get Bloodborne. But for Xbox fans, when it comes to new RPGs of the kind, this is probably going to be as close as we get.
Check out The Blood of the Dawnwalker trailer below!
The game in question is The Blood of Dawnwalker, it’s powered by Unreal Engine 5 and is inspired by 14th-century Europe, and it has a serious vampire problem.

“Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. In the wake of the disasters claiming thousands of lives, the decimated human population struggles for survival,” reads the synopsis of the game. “It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed.”
"They walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same."
You play as Coen, who is said to be “A young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night.”
As Coen, you will be tasked with combining your vampiric strength and human resolve. He kinda sounds like a 14th-century Blade from the Marvel universe, which isn't a bad comparison, it has to be said.

It has the gothic tone of a FromSoftware title and the challenging gameplay that Soulsborne fans would surely appreciate. Not to mention the kind of mythical monsters that one would expect from CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher series.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2026. We’ll, of course, provide a solid release date when that information drops.
