Asmongold slams Starfield's sh**y story after playing Cyberpunk 2077

Starfield's story is sh**y, according to streamer

It feels like everybody is playing Cyberpunk 2077 at the moment, and for good reason. The big 2.0 patch that recently released has the game looking and feeling great. It's not much of a surprise that it's getting compared to Starfield, and according to streamer Asmongold, Starfield's story is plain sh**y.

Asmongold has shared his distaste for Starfield previously and, after a 10 hour Cyberpunk 2077 stream, he has doubled down on his opinion. It seems Cyberpunk 2077 has won him over as his first impression was "straight-up motherf**king wow." That's quite the first impression.

Take a look at our review of Starfield below.

Asmongold, known for his playthroughs of RPGs and MMOs, said, "Starfield convinced me that I didn't like stories in games and maybe I do," he continued by hammering a nail into Starfield's coffin, "I just don't like s**tty ones."

It seems it's the "edge and grit" that has captured the streamer's attention and he praised how CD Projekt Red has managed to turn around a game that, three years ago, had people quitting after a handful of hours with Cyberpunk 2077.

In true Asmongold style, his comments are direct and to the point as he said, "You can't polish a turd but if you've got some scuffed a** game and there's underneath it, a level of quality, then it's fine." He carried on with, "There are some games that just fundamentally suck d**k, and you're not gonna unsuck that d**k. It's gonna be like that forever." Quite the sentence, there.

For gamers who held out, Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely in a great place currently. There's no denying the sheer amount of work put in to turn around its fortunes. Everything about it feels so fresh again, it's like a brand new game.

Asmongold isn't the only streamer to head back to Night City, the latest spate of Twitch drops and the concurrent streaming and player numbers show the game's renaissance.
