You might have missed it, but a new sandbox RPG that mixes Valheim and Cyberpunk 2077 hit Steam earlier this year.
Raise Your Tribe is a hardcore tactical shooter currently in early access that mixes the sandbox elements of Valheim with the futuristic upgrades as seen in Cyberpunk 2077, a pretty cool combination if you ask me.
Think of it as a survival game where you get Cyberpunk-level upgrades and the freedom to build a base and explore the surrounding wasteland. There’s obviously more to it than that, but it’s something that flew under a lot of people’s radars when it originally launched.
Raise Your Tribe hit early access on Steam in March this year, and the reviews so far have been a little varied. As of writing this article, it has a 63% positive review score on Steam, indicating a “Mixed” rating.

Even so, it’s best to see the bad with the good, as many people still seem to be enjoying the game.
“Having played through the game’s playtests, I can confidently say it delivers a well made experience. Visually, the game looks great and performs extremely smoothly, with good optimisation,” reads one positive review on Steam. “If you're looking for a difficult tactical shooter with depth, this is definitely worth your time.”
“Solid start on game launch,” reads another positive review. “Much play testing has been done prior to launch. This dev is in it for the long haul. Would recommend. NOT the usual early access survival trash we see so much of late.”

However, other players have levelled some criticisms against it.
“Game is so broken that this should not even be in Early Access and fans keep giving it positive reviews for it, because they hype the single developer who answers ‘Yeah, I can do it’ to almost all suggestions in Discord,” reads one negative review, indicating that they do not recommend it.
Many of the negative reviews also claim that the game has been “abandoned”. It seems that the last hotfix occurred on 24th March, and there haven’t been any more updates made in the months since then.
While it sounds like a lot of people are still enjoying it, be sure to take these reviews into consideration when deciding if it’s worth your time.
