The Last Of Us Meets The Division In Huge New RPG

This looks promising!

This new RPG could be one for fans of The Last of Us and Tom Clancy’s The Division, and it looks like it could be a lot of brutal fun.

With so many new video games releasing every month, it can be difficult keeping track of what’s on the way, regardless of whether we play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo. As such, many releases can fly under our radar.

One such game looks to be a blend of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, one of PlayStation’s leading properties, and Ubisoft’s The Division. Which isn't a bad combo, if you ask me. Well, at least I assume.

Originally released in 2013 on PlayStation 3, before spawning a sequel, remasters, and a remake, The Last of Us is a gritty action-adventure that tells the story of Joel, a man shaped by tragedy and forced to adapt to a harsh new world following a cordyceps virus that plagued our planet.

Reluctantly, Joel must deliver what he calls “cargo” to a rebel group known as the Fireflies. Oh, and this cargo is a hardened teenage girl called Ellie, who has also been forced to adapt to the new world. I won't say anything else, just in case you’ve never played this fantastic series.

As for Ubisoft’s The Division, this third-person shooter RPG has an apocalypse of its own, but one very different to that of The Last of Us.

In The Division series, the world is brought to its knees thanks to a genetically engineered smallpox outbreak that deliberately infected the U.S dollar on Black Friday. Within days, society collapsed, causing global chaos, bringing out the worst of humanity.

So, when a new RPG comes along that looks to be somewhat inspired by The Last of Us and The Division, it will most certainly pique our interest. The game in question is developed and published by Nexon and is called Nakwon: The Last Paradise.

“Nakwon: The Last Paradise is a multiplayer zombie survival game set in urban South Korea. Venture into the city in the dead of night, and manage your shelter by day,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.

“Scavenge resources in a city crawling with the infected and hostile survivors. Survival is the only rule - trust no one, not even the living.”

Nakwon: The Last Paradise does not have a release date at the time of writing, other than its Steam page stating that it’s “coming soon”. In the meantime, you can add it to your wishlist to be notified when it’s ready to launch.

There is no mention yet whether Nakwon: The Last Paradise is getting a console release, but we’ll update you should that information arrive.
