Steam users can grab a hugely popular shooter for less than £1, limited time only

If you’re reading this, you clearly enjoy gaming. The thing is though, as much as we all love gaming, it’s practically impossible to play every game there is. We’ve all heard of the ol’ dreaded backlog. You know, that list of games that you say you’re going to play but then never get around to.

It’s always a minor stress when one of those games ends up getting a sequel - and you know the deal with sequels. They’re often bigger and better. For example, with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the horizon, I bet a bunch of you are rushing to play through the original game and Miles Morales. Perhaps you’ve been intrigued by Alan Wake 2 and are attempting to quickly complete Alan Wake Remastered. Well, another game that’s on the horizon is Payday 3. We’ve already received a very cool gameplay trailer and the good news is that if you’re yet to catch up on the series, Steam users can grab Payday 2 right now for less than £1/$1.

That’s right. As reported by ComicBook, Steam is running a very tempting sale on the game right now. There’s a whopping 90% off the price, so in the US, you can nab it for $1, while here in the UK, it’s on sale for the very low price of 89p. Deals really don’t get much better than that, unless a game is totally free of course.

Overkill Software’s Payday 2 was released a decade ago to favourable reviews. It garnered a very respectable score of 79 over on Metacritic. GamingTrend wrote, “Payday 2 brings something unique to the table. Gameplay is often heart-poundingly intense, whether from the anxiety of fearing detection in a stealth mission, the will to survive an aggressive assault in an attack mission, or just the rush that comes from making it out alive and much richer.”
