A new surprise free game that’s just launched on Steam seems to have made quite an impact, as it currently sits at 100% positive reviews.

Kaelaverse: Pemascape is a new 2D platformer where you solve puzzles, fight monsters, and navigate dungeons in order to find your leader, Kaela Kovalskia.

If that name is familiar to you, it's because it's created in collaboration with the V-tuber of the same name.

It sort-of has the vibes of games like Metroid and Super Mario World, with cute art and challenging platforming to boot.

For any V-tuber fans who is a fan of side-scrolling platformers or metroidvanias, it might be one to check out. I mean, it’s free, so it won’t cost you anything but a few minutes of your time.

What’s so delicious about it is that Kaelaverse: Pemascape currently has 100% positive ratings on Steam, indicating that everyone who played it and decided to leave a review would recommend it.

“SO much fun,” reads one review. “The game is so well put together, still can't believe the short turn around time to make all of it, from the music, the art, and the gameplay!!!”

“As always, Kay Yu delivers with smooth controls, a fun almost metroid-vania-esque adventure,” another review reads. “It's incredibly fun, and I appreciate the subtle references. Thank you so much for making this with Kaela, it's an incredible gift. The fact he did it in 2.5 months is insane, but the mind behind HoloCure seems to just be on another level! HBD, Kaela!”

“The brilliant minds behind the amazing Holocure and the not-quite-amazing-but-still-OK Holobreak comes (wait for it) another free Hololive game,” a third review reads. “This time, we have a metroidvania with crafting based entirely on Kaela and her minions. Not being a Pemaloe myself, I'm afraid most of the in-jokes and "lore" are lost on me, but still a cool little game nontheless!”

You can download Kaelaverse: Pemascape now from Steam.
